Peer Advocacy & Leadership Academy
BECOME A LEADER IN YOUR COMMUNITY
Puget Sound Peer’s Peer Advocacy & Leadership Academy (PALA) is a peer-led monthly cohort designed to help participants get credentialed, build practical peer skills, and stay connected to real peer opportunities—while turning lived experience into meaningful community impact. PALA is open to individuals who are a Certified Peer Counselor (CPC), Certified Peer Support Specialist (CPSS), or who are ready to complete the FREE Peer Specialist Certification. Participants strengthen core competencies such as communication, boundaries, documentation, ethics, and effective advocacy, while also building leadership confidence, collaborating with other peers on community needs and solutions, and developing supportive relationships that lead to action in peer spaces.
